Scheman Consulting was established by Rita Scheman on the foundation of 30 years’ reputable experience managing change across the publishing organization for companies such as Wolters Kluwer and Elsevier.  Rita Scheman’s most recent positions were as Publishing Director of The Lancet Publishing Group and Publishing Director, eProducts for the Health Sciences Division of Elsevier; she holds an M.A. in English (University of Michigan), and a graduate degree in business (New York University).

Scheman Consulting advises decision makers of small to very large-sized scientific, technical, medical, and academic content providers in the US, UK, and Continental Europe, on strategies to enhance print and electronic products and services to maximize competitive performance.  Critical thinking skills are underpinned by editorial and business development expertise providing a sound basis for decision making, whether applied to process, product or strategy.
